Blueflies

Dynamic Blueflies frontman Miles Gilderdale is only truly at home when playing to a crowd. Miles has worked on stage with artists as diverse as Ben E. King, Ron Wood, and Jools Holland, as well as performing live on Radio One broadcasts and numerous TV shows, most recently with celebrated sax-man Snake Davis from the M People, both performers from Miles' legendary seven-piece soul band Zoot and the Roots.

In 2002, Miles won the Prestigious Gibson Award and was nominated for a GRAMMY for the Acoustic Alchemy album AART, which he co-wrote. But it is with the Blueflies that he excels!.

Playing their own brand of funk, soul blues & rock, The Blueflies are a 3 piece band guaranteed to raise the roof at any event - from an intimate corporate gathering to a major brand release. The Blueflies can also appear as a bigger band if required with keyboards, horns & female backing vocalists all seclected from the best session musicians pool in the UK.

The Blueflies are, as their press release says, “quite possibly the best band in their price range!”

“........What made this band so impressive was not simply the precision of their playing, but also the sense of fun and enjoyment with which they played. This was a performance of polished, original, perfectly paced and compulsive entertainment. The Blueflies work WITH the audience, not TO them, and transmit their enjoyment so positively that the audience were soon screaming for more..........”

“When your mojo’s been mojoed to death and you want something a bit more substantial.....The Blueflies will sort you out. ”
