Artist Performance Guidelines – an extract...

In addition to our contract, our especially drafted Performance Guielines add extra confidence when booking a MAM artist. Remember! Many companies may claim to have something similar to this…(especially once they see ours)…but do they actually believe in them and work to them? That’s the question. Here’s an extract from ours;

Dress

Artists and their associates should dress appropriately and behave in a professional manner at engagements in accordance with the contract.

Communication

Band leaders should introduce themselves to the employer at the engagement and act as the main point of contact throughout.

Public Address Systems

PA systems must be in good working order, checked regularly by a qualified electrician and be appropriate for the size of engagement. When a sound engineer is employed they should also conduct themselves appropriately.

Insurance

MAM Band Leaders should be members of the Musicians Union in order to qualify for the union’s public liability insurance.

Deputies

Artists should make available the band line-up that has been booked for an engagement as per the contract whenever possible and advise MAM in good time of any intended deputies.
